About Santamore
Santamore began as a simple idea for festive fun but has quickly evolved into a meaningful event with the potential to become a Montenegrin tradition. We are a moving celebration of the holiday spirit, dedicated to uniting our coastal communities to have a great time while making a real difference.
Our name: Santamore, captures the essence of the holiday spirit meeting Adriatic coast. It’s a playful blend of two wonderful ideas: Santa, the symbol of festive giving, and More (pronounced mor-eh), the Montenegrin word for “sea.”
Our name is a love letter to our home. We are the “Santas of the Sea,” a tidal wave of red suits and good cheer, bringing the magic of the holidays to the shores of Montenegro!
Transparency as a Foundation
Santamore is more than a celebration; it’s a budding community tradition dedicated to channeling the season’s joy into tangible support for those in need. To ensure this initiative is built on a transparent and sustainable foundation, we are formally in the process of establishing Santamore as an independent, legally recognized non-profit entity in Montenegro. This status will govern all our operations, including a dedicated Montenegrin bank account, in full compliance with national laws.
We envision Santamore growing into an annual nationwide celebration, with chapters bringing festive cheer and charitable support to cities across Montenegro. While our inaugural event is focused on Tivat, this is just the first step in a long-term mission to create a vibrant, country-wide movement that celebrates life and community during the holiday season.
Inaugural Year Solution
We recognize that the process of establishing a non-profit can take several weeks. With the holiday season fast approaching, we did not want to delay our ability to make a difference this year.
To ensure we can immediately and securely collect, hold, and disburse all charitable funds, our founding sponsor, Lotta, has graciously offered the use of its secure payment and banking infrastructure for this year’s event. All funds will be held in a dedicated account and will be transparently transferred to the Santamore non-profit entity once its establishment is complete. This allows us to move forward with confidence and immediacy, without compromising on financial security.

Your Beneficiaries
Dnevni Centar Tivat
This center provides a comprehensive and quality service aimed at raising the quality of life for children and youth with disabilities and their families. The Municipality of Tivat invested €660,000 in a new, multi-functional building for the center, which is equipped to meet all prescribed standards and offers a safe space for socialization, rehabilitation, and acquiring new knowledge. A professional team, including psychologists, pedagogues, and therapists, provides half-day and full-day services for up to 20 users.
The "Mladost" Orphanage
This institution is the only one of its kind in Montenegro, providing crucial support to children without parental care and those who need developmental assistance. The orphanage’s operations are subject to official financial audits, ensuring accountability. It has previously received support from international donor groups, like the Wales football fans’ charity Gôl Cymru, highlighting its recognized role in caring for underprivileged children.
Funds Disbursement
The 100% Plan
This year, 100% of the charitable funds raised during Santamore will be split between two incredible local organizations that provide essential services to our community, Dnevni Centar Tivat and Dječji dom “Mladost” Bijela. By supporting Santamore, you are directly supporting their vital work.
All operational costs for Santamore 25 are being covered separately by our founding sponsor, Lotta.
Disbursement
Transparency doesn’t end with fundraising. We are committed to disbursing all funds within 2-3 weeks of the conclusion of the Santamore 25. This rapid turnaround ensures that our partner organizations receive the support in a timely manner, allowing them to utilize the funds for their most pressing needs during the holiday season and into the new year.
