Event terms
These terms apply to all our events — runs, winter sea swims, regattas and similar gatherings. By registering for an event and signing the waiver you accept them. The specifics of each event (date, distance, entry fee) are on that event's page.
Registration
Your registration stands once you complete the form, sign the participation waiver and pay the entry fee set for the event. Entry fees go to the Operations Fund — they pay for organising the event, not donations. Payments and refunds of entry fees are also governed by the Donation policy.
Medical fitness
By registering you declare that you are medically fit for the effort the distance or activity involves, and that you know of no health condition of yours that makes participation dangerous. If you are not sure, talk to a doctor before registering — especially for winter sea swims and open-water swimming.
Assumption of risk
Running, swimming in the sea in winter, sailing and outdoor gatherings carry real risks: falls, exhaustion, cold water, currents, collisions, sudden weather. You take part of your own free will and at your own risk. We are obliged to organise the event with care — a marked course, marshals, first aid on duty where planned — but we cannot remove the risks that are part of the activity itself. This declaration does not exclude our liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, nor any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Minimum ages and minors

For participants under 18, a parent or guardian submits the registration and signs the waiver, and is responsible for judging that the child is ready for the chosen distance. Our child safeguarding policy also applies at events.
Photos and video
We photograph and film at events for the gallery, reports and posts. When registering you choose whether you consent to being identifiable in published material. If you do not consent, we respect that when selecting and editing material, and we remove any published photo you recognise yourself in on request to [[PLACEHOLDER: contact email]]. For children, explicit parental or guardian consent is required.
Withdrawal and transfer
If you withdraw, the entry fee is not refunded — the event is planned and paid for based on the number registered. Instead, up until registration closes, you can transfer your registration to another person free of charge: write to us with the new person's details, and they then sign their own participation waiver.
Weather and cancellation
Safety comes before the programme. If weather conditions or force majeure make the event dangerous, we may shorten it, change the course, postpone or cancel it — we publish the decision on the site and email everyone registered as soon as it is made.
If we postpone, your registration carries over to the new date (with the right to transfer it to another person). If we cancel, you choose between a refund of the entry fee or converting it into a donation — as described in the Donation policy.
Conduct at the event
You must follow the instructions of organisers, marshals and lifeguards, stay on the marked course, and not endanger others. The Code of conduct applies. A participant who seriously breaks the rules or endangers safety may be removed from the event without a refund of the entry fee.
What you are signing
The participation waiver you sign at registration summarises exactly these terms: that you are medically fit, that you understand and assume the risks of the activity, that you have made your choice about photo publication, and that you accept the rules of conduct. We keep it with your registration, together with the version of the text you signed.
